Re: Why am I asked to check things out just to open a drawing?

One common thing that leads to this:

- check out and change a drawing, but don't check out related model(s)

- change something in the drawing that in fact get saved in the model

- select to Continue for the model

- check in the drawing

- next retrieval of the drawing (possibly by someone else at a later time), message log says "drawing is more recent than the model"

Have to check out the model to apply the pending changes stored in the drawing.  These are "time bombs" in the system.

Choose "continue", then open the assembly and choose "save".  Look in your workspace and see what actually got saved.  Since it's an assembly, I would guess one of the models was changed but the assembly wasn't regenerated and save afterwards.  The next time the assembly is opened it sees it needs to update but to do so requires being checked out.  Sometimes relations, Pro/Program, and automatic mass properties calculations can also cause changes each time an object is opened.

Hi Mike,

See if this one works.

     wt.fc.QueryResult result = wt.maturity.MaturityHelper.service.getPromotionTargets((wt.maturity.PromotionNotice)primaryBusinessObject));

             int numberOfTarget=result.size();

thanks.

Disconnected participants after updating to CPS22, PDM Link10.2 M020

After a successful patch of CPS22 from CPS2. I received emails saying that I had several participants that were disconnected from LDAP. I have read the article on how to search for disconnected participants and either delete them if they are no longer used or add them back into LDAP, but my question is do I need them?

I don't recognize these License users, can anyone provide some insight please?

Here is the list.

Re: How to create a custom Business rule

Hi Antonio,

No I never did find a "Business Rule" solution.  I created a "Validator" class and kept adding methods to it.  I started out with static methods invoked from the workflow via expression robots and ended up instantiating an instance of the "Validator" because much of the information returned by one method needed to be passed to another.  The "Validator" kept track of results in three booleans for info, warning and error and built up a message in a single string return for each of these.

These are new license groups that were added to support the new subscription model of licensing.  If you don't have any license subscriptions then you can completely ignore them.

Re: Anyone customized a referenced by link for EPMDocuments?

Hi Lewis

we have done that , by using the ConfigurableReferenceLink in Type manager

wt.configurablelink.ConfigurableReferenceLink

quite easy, as the link can be create and set in the Type manager (cardinality and RoleA and RoleB constraint)

a little bit of xml configuration to hook the Tables and actions for this new link.  But well documented in Customizer guide

We use it as for normal Creo CAD Document, for storing and linking MTL material files to our WTpart

Gregory

Yes, that was one of the first things I checked.

Randy,

After digging a bit I realized that one of the MFG Engineers had set the top level related WTpart to Inwork, this was the issue.  So, always ask the obvious .  As the admin here I should probably go home for the day - rookie mistake.

Thank you all for your help. It's greatly appreciated. I think I have a better understanding and have stopped a good deal of the pop ups.

It has to request the license in order to download the files to the publishing machine.

I am puzzled by you saying "Windchill 10.2 / ProIntralink 8.x"? What modules of Windchill 10.2 do you have? Why are you not running Pro/Intralink 10.2?

Windchill 10.2 and 8.x cannot share the same vaults.

I have already configured the worker to only use the PROE_FoundationVis license.

Config.PNG

The result is the same, it still requests the Intralink license even though it isn't in the configuration.
