can I specify no prefix, wt.eff.format.AlphaNumericUnitEffFormat=12 ?
we have errors from workflow indicating comparison error shown below, I just wonder if anyone know how to setup without using prefix:
wt.util.WTException: wt.eff.format.EffFormatException: Invalid effectivity range values can not be compared.
Nested exception is: wt.eff.format.EffFormatException: Invalid effectivity range values can not be compared.

Advanced Replica/Vaulting Requirement with Multiple File Servers in USA and INDIA
We would like to configure Windchill server with 7 File Servers to achieve the following requirement.
There is a Product container X and user A is from US and user B is from India.Both are members of the same Product Container.
Both members are required to design two separate product lines using Creo. Standard part commonality can be considered managed in s shared library...
If user A checks in Creo data it should be deposited in US FCS Cache vault and if user B checks in data then it should be deposited in India FCS Cache vault.
Is there any good best practice to configure Replica Vaulting Rules according to this requirement? How can we make sure that no specific localized product data is not stored centrally?

In principle, if we have 4 replica in US and 3 in India, user A shall be configured on the closest file server in the USA available to him (geographically). Same applies to user B for Replica Server in India. By setting user preference to the correct replica, synchronized uploaded date first goes to respective cache vaults and then they have to have replication enabled to move it to the master vault.

folder OR number to folder with api
Hi,
Is it possible to go from a String OR number eg: 671354212 to the folder itself?
Now I search an wtpart that is in a certain folder --> now I can find the folder of this wtpart and than I can look what's in the folder.
It would be easier to have the folder by the OR number. So is it possible to get from the string number to the wtfolder with API?

creating the next revision while working on and releasing the current revision of a document
We have Windchill v11. I have a document, which was formally release in windchill at rev D. We've been making updates to it as working copies in Rev E. I want to take a snapshot at Rev E, create rev F, and then continue the review and release process on rev E while new updates to the document are being made in Rev F as a working copy.
how does one do this?

I don't think you can revise a document that is not yet released.
What if in the review cycle for rev E, someone requests a change and you have started working on rev F. Now you have to modify rev E and F to keep them in sync.
If you must start work on rev F before rev E is released, do it off line until rev E is released then start your formal rev F document. If we are talking about a Word document rather than a Creo document, cut and paste your changes into the formal rev F.
