It is controlled by a preference.
If you like, you can also write a delegate that uses a logic for number, location and so on.

Hi Binesh,
We already tried that preference. This preference sets a fixed location for creation of Downstream parts i.e a folder where downstream parts from all the products will be stored. What we need is that Downstream parts of each product should be stored in the Manufacturing folder of that particular product itself.

Hi Prasad, I know it is not easy to set this preference in each of the products. I think writing your own delegate overriding DefaultDownstreamLocationDelegate is the elegant. I wish this is more configurable

OK button doesn't work anymore for Rename action
Hi everybody !
Since this morning, when I want to rename a CAD document, the button "OK" doesn't work. I can click but nothing happen, the window doesn't close and the rename is not done.
Saturday, an installation of optional components has been done (ProjectLink, MPM Link...) and the problem was not present before.
Do you have an idea ?
For information:
- Windchill M010-CPS04
- No error in method server logs/apache logs
- Tomcat, InfoEngine caches has been cleared after installation

use of pentable file?
I just want to know, if I send some drawings to other people for approval, the approver and me all do not use the PENTABLE, then the approver approve the request, the drawings released to FORMAL RERSION
What will be happen ? the dark lines will show up ? if the approver use the PENTABLE ? what will be happen ? or the dark lines depend on the Windchill ? the Windchill has been set default ?
below is a PDF.
The outside lines are dark and hard to review, I know I can use and set the “PENTABLE” to make the lines look more thin when I export the drawing to PDF.
But I want to know ,if I do not use the “PENTABLE”, other people release this drawing into “FORMAL” and individuals use a viewer, the “dark lines” will still show up ?
I was wondering once we put things into “formal” if the “dark line” would still show up?

Okay, the question is how do you generate the PDF? If you are using Windchill to create PDFs, then it doesn't matter what's your pentable configuration is . Windchill uses CAD worker to generate the PDFs and the settings defined there will be used for the PDF export

This sounds like a cached javascript issue. Clear your browser cache, reload the Windchill page and try again.

Is this a view of the drawing or an assembly edit window?
If it's the drawing you may have to refresh the drawing sheet. There's a config option to not update the drawing views so that the computer isn't wasting time doing that when you are working on the assembly.

Collation conversion utility
I have taken a backup from SQL server 2008 R2 and restored it in SQL server 2014. Now the database collation is SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CS_AS. I have to change the collation to Latin1_General_100_CS_AS_SC. When I run the collation conversion utility, it prompted to enter the details like destination host name, instance name, db admin user name, db user name, default db and application name. When I enter all the details and hit the enter button, the window closed. Nothing happening. Please give me a solution as soon as possible.

Select specific Java JRE?
Hi,
is there an option to set a specific JRE for Creo, Windchill, ...
We are limited to Java 7 because of Windchill 10.2. So I'd like to install Java 7 in a seperate Folder and use it only for Creo.
We are using the mozilla based browser.

No Binesh. The conversion process didn't even started. Hence, No logs generated. The folder is empty only.
