That information is only carried in Windchill on a per revision level. You have found it on the History page, but the item description page will only show it for the latest revision.
If you want to use that information on a drawing, so it doesn't change, that can be done using relations to 'lock' the revision A created information.
Thank you Ben. Unfortunately, what I ultimately need to do is be able to perform a search, or run a report to try to find out who the creator was of an object, and when it was created. When I go into a folder view of a Product or Library, and include the "Created By" and "Created On" columns in my table display, it gives me the same information as the details page. If I do a search, I get the same results. I can't afford to open up every drawing, or every document to get to this information.
You may be able to get the information you want from Query Report against the DB directly since all the information is in there.

Why would that stop you from using Promotion Request? You could also add a subtype of Promotion Request - eg Eng Doc Promote
The other option is to select several and do Set State (eg in a folder, search)

I am missing something but it is still putting the approvers and reviewers in automatically and the user cannot change it.
May be you need to open the 80 port in the Windows Firewall of your windchill server.
It looks like an application server issue. Could you have a look at the Windchill/logs folder? to be specific MethodServer-XXXX logs there

The information that is in the titleblock that is static for all revisions of a part number utilize custom relations so they do not get changed as the part progresses.
We were setting the ECN #, Created By and Created Date as the locked parameters.
Depending on your revision scheme is how you handle this, we used numeric revisions.

Steve - you will want to clear out the Fixed Roles for Promote and probably Change your Group perference
If you need these for another Promotion Process you might want to have a different workflow for this document approval that does not have the Roles you would use for your CAD promotion workflow so there is not overlap and no auto selection.
Have you done a Restore Security Prompts on the security tab and Delete Files under the temporary files settings? And cleared the cache in the browser?
You are exactly right. I need them for another promotion request process. Our CAD files. But I know just a very little bit about creating workflows.

How does Windchill treat the server name\mac address? The reason I am asking is because I am currently running the physical Windchill server in parallel with the virtual Windchill server (which has a different name) so maybe the computer name is causing the issues?
We have a single user whose Updates table on the WC home screen will only display a single row. If he creates a new object (such as a Change Request), the existing row object disappears and the new item takes its place.
All other users see multiple rows of updated objects, and this problem is not just local to his PC. It follows to wherever he logs in.
I have never seen this and don't have any good ideas on the possible cause.
Any thoughts?
Customized UPDATES TABLE table view?
I know I have done this before when we modified Windchill to accept the xml formatted Office documents, but I cannot remember what I modified or how I did it.
I searched the Windchill 10.0 Customization guide, but nothing hit me as to what this customization is.
Where in Windchill are the file extensions set for document types that can be uploaded? We have Excel macro driven file that has a .xlsm extension and it is giving us problems uploading. At one point in the past, I modified some file to allow the .docx, .xlsx, .pptx and maybe some other MS Office extensions.
Does Windchill support the .xlsm format?
an someone point me to the right utility and/or files(s) that need to be modified for this?
