For only some users, for a CAD Doc in a workspace or in commonspace, selecting the viewable image from within the browser inside CAD (either Creo Parametric or SolidWorks WGM) results in nothing. Actions, Open in, Creo View is grayed out. For other users, this works perfectly.
No help from tech support on what may be causing this difference.

I have a similar issue with Windchill 11.0 M020 and the new WebGL thumbnail viewer. My issue is the (3d) thumbnails don't show on the Details tab when user has their vaulting preference set to a replica site. This is only an issue with 3d thumbnails on the Details tab. The thumbnail navigator works fine. 2d thumbnails work fine in the Details tab. This issue is reproducible with FireFox, Chrome, and IE

This was not a problem with Windchill 11.0 M010 when thumbnails were viewed with the Creo View plugin.

Well then you don't have the issue of needing at least Creo Parametric 3.0 M100 for Windchill 11.0 M010 and its new pvagent.exe process like I had.

I am running everybody with chromium_browser. However there are a couple of things to keep in mind. If Creo Parametric crashes (of course this never happens...) the creoagent.exe process and related zbcefr.exe processes will be left running. Quite frequently this leads to embedded browser issues sometime during the life of the next session of Creo Parametric that is fired up.
Your affected users that are running IE might not have the ugly Microsoft hack "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View" turned off:

we are using DTI and mapping attributes from PDMLink to Word or Excel.
One of the attributes is a Temperature and measurement unit is defined in "Celsius".
The attribute value and the corresponding measurement unit is displayed correctly in PDMLink.
However, when mapping the attribute to Word document, then the value is converted into Kelvin and the measurement unit is shown as "K".
According to PTC support this seems to be spec, and they asked me to create a product idea.
How can I create the product idea?
User would never accept the temperature in Kelvin and therefore I need to apply a workaround for this, but on the other side I want PDMLink to improve.

What would be the best procedure for switching revisions schemes between a development phase and a production phase? Our development phase would be alpha characters and at production would switch to numeric.
We are actually a chemical company, but it occurred to me that some practices for managing a software type product might apply to us (in part) rather than a typical manufacturing environment. Actually there are two things that could be managed: The architectural/electrical construction drawings for building the process buildings and equipment for making the chemicals (not mass produced) and the actual chemicals themselves that are mass produced.
Any suggestions?

Jeff, that's exactly what my company does too. Tom Uminn has excellent advice, that would be a good place to start.
We are set up to that today. Alpha are released to a Pre-Production state and numeric revisions are Released state. All controlled by Windchill and the promotion process and Revise.
The architectural drawings would be a type of CAD file, so a perfect fit for Windchill.
The chemical processes could also be managed, maybe like some of the consumer good companies use Windchill. I know there are clothing manufacturers who use Windchill and Proctor & Gamble uses it for packaging.

This utility in Windchill 11.0 F000 “Business Administrative Change Promotion Utility” provides a way to move administrative changes made in a pre-production PTC Windchill installation to a production PTC Windchill.
For example, a policy access control rule can be created in a test system to ensure that the policy rule functions as intended. After testing is complete, the change can be moved to the production PTC Windchill system using the business administrative change promotion command-line utility.
If user has made some modification in access control rule on source server and would like to propagate the same changes on Production Server. In this case the user don’t have to redo the same modification manually on production Server, they can use the “Business Administrative Change Promotion Utility”.
The Business Administrative Change Promotion is a command line utility which has the –export and –import parameter which is use to export the policy rule from Source system and import it Target system.
