Forgive me, but I don't have PDM Essentials installed on my system so I haven't tested this out. I did take a look at how PDMLink, though, and I imagine that it should be similar.
Do you not have the ability to exclude dependents from the Save As?
Or change the Dependents from Required/All to None?
